Dr. Elsayed AbdelbakiPLASTIC SURGERY

Your plastic surgery consultation in the UAE

You do not need to arrive with an operation already chosen. A useful consultation begins with what you would like to change, what matters to you and whether surgery is appropriate. This guide helps you organise that conversation with Dr. Elsayed Abdelbaki and leave with questions answered rather than a decision made under pressure.

Request a UAE consultation

Bring your health history, identify your priorities and ask for a clear explanation of the proposed procedure, its limits and the follow-up plan.

Describe the concern in your own words

Write down the one or two changes that matter most. For example, explain whether your concern is eyelid heaviness, breast position or loose abdominal skin, instead of selecting a technique from an advertisement. Describe what you would like to preserve as well as what you hope to change.

Think about why you want surgery now and whether your expectations depend on a particular photograph or someone else's result. Photographs can support a discussion, but another person's anatomy and outcome cannot be promised for you.

Prepare a clear health summary

Bring a list of current medicines and supplements, allergies, ongoing conditions and previous operations. Include past problems with anaesthesia or healing and tell the surgeon about smoking or nicotine use. Accurate information helps the team assess risk; do not stop prescribed treatment or start a preparation routine based on a general website checklist.

  • For eyelid concerns, mention eye conditions, dryness, previous eye surgery and the treatments you use.
  • If relevant, bring previous operation reports or implant information and ask which existing investigations the team needs to see.

Understand what the assessment is deciding

The examination should connect your concern with the options that may reasonably address it. Ask what the proposed operation can improve and what is likely to remain unchanged. The conclusion may be to proceed, gather more information, wait or avoid surgery.

Ask why one procedure is being suggested instead of another, and whether treatment would need to be staged. A name such as liposuction, tummy tuck or facelift does not describe every individual's surgical plan. Check exactly which areas and techniques are being discussed.

Ask about the surgeon, setting and risks

Ask about training and experience relevant to your planned operation, where it would take place and who would provide anaesthesia and follow-up. Request an explanation of complications in language you understand, including what would happen if an unexpected problem arose.

Discuss scars, changes in sensation, asymmetry and the procedure-specific issues that matter for your case. Ask how concerns about the final result would be assessed. Consent should reflect an individual discussion of benefits, risks and alternatives.

Put the proposal beside your real schedule

Explain your work duties, caring responsibilities and any planned travel. Ask what help you may need at home and which follow-up visits require your presence. If you are visiting the UAE, make your travel dates part of the consultation rather than a fixed deadline that the treatment must fit.

Before paying or arranging an operation, ask for the proposed treatment and an itemised quotation in writing. Confirm how to contact the team with further questions and which appointment details still need to be agreed.

Leave room to decide

Read the information again after the appointment. Make a short list of anything you still do not understand, especially the recovery commitment and any future treatment that may be needed. A consultation is an opportunity to assess suitability; it is not a requirement to book surgery.

If a point remains unclear, ask for another discussion or seek an independent opinion. Your own priorities should guide the decision.

Your consultation checklist

Tick the points you have discussed. These checkboxes are a temporary reading aid; they do not send information or confirm medical clearance.

Common questions

Do I have to choose a procedure before booking?

No. You can describe the area and concern you would like assessed. The procedure directory can help you learn the vocabulary without deciding which operation is suitable for you.

Can photographs replace an examination?

Photographs may help communicate your concern, but they do not replace the assessment needed to agree an individual surgical plan.

What if I forget a question during the appointment?

Use the checklist below to keep a written record. Before leaving, confirm the appropriate contact route for additional questions and ask for clarification before making commitments.

This guide supports an informed conversation. It does not diagnose a condition, replace your surgeon’s instructions or guarantee that an operation, recovery date or travel plan is suitable for you.

Connect your questions to the procedure

The same checklist will not answer every procedure-specific question. Compare the relevant options, then read the detailed guide before your assessment.

Bring your questions to the consultation

Discuss your goals, health history and practical arrangements with Dr. Elsayed Abdelbaki. The booking team confirms appointment availability in the UAE.

A booking request is not a confirmed appointment or a commitment to surgery.
