Plastic Surgery Recovery in the Gulf: Heat, Travel and Aftercare

Follow the procedure-specific plan

Recovery advice differs between facial surgery, breast surgery and body contouring. Use medicines, dressings, compression garments and drains only as instructed. Do not add supplements, antibiotics or wound products without checking with the treating team.

Heat, hydration and sun

Hot weather can make compression garments uncomfortable and may contribute to dehydration. Stay in a cool environment, drink according to medical advice and avoid exposing fresh scars to strong sun. Heat does not replace hygiene, and excessive moisture around a wound should be reported.

Movement and blood-clot prevention

Gentle, regular walking is often encouraged, while strenuous activity and heavy lifting remain restricted. The team may recommend additional measures according to your risk. Chest pain, sudden breathlessness, coughing blood or one-sided leg swelling require urgent medical assessment.

Travel after surgery

Do not assume it is safe to fly as soon as you feel better. The procedure, anaesthesia, mobility and individual clot risk affect timing. If travelling between Gulf countries, carry essential medical documents and know where to seek emergency help.

When to contact the clinic

Increasing redness, fever, worsening pain, unusual discharge, sudden swelling, wound opening or medication reactions need prompt advice. Dr. Elsayed Abdelbaki — الدكتور السيد عبدالباقي provides a scheduled follow-up plan and explains which symptoms require urgent in-person care.
